Q: Who can earn Hackney Bucks?

A: Anyone who is a current member of the American Hackney Horse Society (AHHS) is eligible to earn Hackney Bucks. Not a member? Click here to become a member.

Q: How do I earn Hackney Bucks?

A: You can earn Hackney Bucks in a variety of ways. The "EARNING HACKNEY BUCKS" section above shows a detailed chart describing all the ways you can earn Hackney Bucks.

Q: Do my Hackney Bucks expire?

A: Hackney Bucks expire one year from the date of issue.

Q: What if I spend less than I have? (Ex: I have $200 in Hackney Bucks and I spend $180)

A: Any partial amount that has not been spent from an individual Hackney Buck will be lost.

Q: Once I have completed an activity to earn Hackney Bucks, how do I receive them?

A: Complete the Verification Form and mail it with any required proof to: The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544. Once this is received by The Hackney Foundation and your activity is verified, The Hackney Foundation will mail you the Hackney Bucks within 30 days.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of activities I can do to earn Hackney Bucks?

A: No, there is not a limit to the number of your activities. Your activities must be verified by The Hackney Foundation through the Verification Form, to validate that said activity aligns with the requirements. The Hackney Foundation reserves the right to deem any activity unacceptable. There is an annual limit to the amount of Hackney Bucks that can be earned by individual instructors and within some categories. Q: When do I need to provide verification for my activities to earn Hackney Bucks?

A: After you participate in the activity, please submit the required proof, along with the verification form by email to HackneyBucks@gmail.com or by mail to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544.

To donate by mail, download and print the Donor Registration Form and return with your check by mail to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. A: All you need to do is email HackneyBucks@gmail.com and we will add you to the database. We will recognize you on our website as a vendor as well as through social media.

Q: I accept Hackney Bucks. How can I promote the program?

A: Thanks for accepting Hackney Bucks! We invite you to share the social media announcement welcoming you as a vendor. Please share the program via word of mouth, too! Challenge everyone to do their part and promote The Buck Stops Here, whether accepting, redeeming or participating!

Q: How do I redeem my Hackney Bucks?

A: Thank you for your participation! You have done the work, now it's time to spend the Hackney Bucks you earned! You can find the vendors who accept Hackney Bucks by visiting the "REDEEMING HACKNEY BUCKS • VENDORS" section above.

Q: I am a vendor and accepted Hackney Bucks as a form of payment. How do I get reimbursed?

A: You will mail your accepted Hackney Bucks to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544 and The Hackney Foundation will send a check to your address on file within 30 days.

Q: How much is a Hackney Buck worth?

A: Hackney Bucks come in increments of either $25 or $50. For example, if you have 5 Hackney Bucks (worth $50 apiece), you will be able to redeem them for $250 worth of services/products.
