A New Fund Raising Campaign
We are continuing to distribute important information about the Hackney Breed through the Educational Resource Center and our current promotional video and brochures. The Foundation also administers three important scholarship programs: The Alvin Haugen Memorial Scholarship, The Youth Medallion Educational Scholarship (given in conjunction with the United Professional Horsemen’s Association), and the Shamrock Farm Road Pony Camp Tuition Scholarships. The Board has some upcoming plans that are very exciting. These plans include the professional development of a comprehensive and informative website, and a new updated video that will include footage on the training and exhibiting of Hackneys, which will be formatted for VHS and/or DVD. We are also studying the possibility of relocating the Educational Resource Center to a larger, more visible location at the Kentucky Horse Park. The relocation would allow more visitors to become familiar with the Hackney Breed. To move forward with these plans we are asking for your help. In keeping with the theme of “HACKNEY IN ACTION,” we are announcing an innovative campaign to accomplish these goals. In conjunction with sculptor Connie Foss, the AHHSF is proud to announce two exclusive offers: 1. For each $1,000 gift, you will receive a 3-inch Hackney Bronze complete with a base. You may select from the following: Cobtail, Harness Pony, Pleasure Pony, or Road Pony. A gift of $4,000 will insure you the complete set of 4. These are limited editions of 100. 2. For each $5,000 gift, you will receive a 7-inch Hackney Bronze complete with a base. Again, you may select from the following: Cobtail, Harness Pony, Pleasure Pony, or Road Pony. A gift of $20,000 will assure you the complete set of 4. These are different in design than the first offer and are limited editions of 25. The bronzes are limited editions, artist originals and are available only through the “HACKNEY IN ACTION” campaign. So, be the first to own what surely will become a priceless, family heirloom. Your support will help the AHHSF forge ahead as we embark on this ambitious undertaking. If you have questions, or are in need of any further information, contact the Foundation at (502)394-0042, or any Board member. All contributions to the American Hackney Horse Society Foundation, Inc. are tax deductible under the IRS 501(c)3 regulation. Checks can be mailed to the AHHS Foundation, 906 Rugby Place, Louisville, KY 40222. |
